State Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a criminal history check
• Must have at least 6 months  experience in a licensed child care facility or complete the State required pre-service training online.
  

**Free pre-service training is available at the link below. You will need to make an account, do all the free training and print off the certificates. These training hours can be used at any licensed child care center in the State of Texas.
